Mercy College is located within walking distance of MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, a 622-bed Level II Trauma Center in the heart of Iowa鈥檚 largest metropolitan area. Mercy College students have exclusive access to priority clinical placement at all MercyOne facilities, ensuring strong integration of hands-on, real-world learning opportunities. Graduates of nearly every program complete hundreds of intensive clinical contact hours across MercyOne care locations, building confidence, skills, and career鈥憆eady expertise. Additionally, many students balance their studies with part-time, flexible work positions at MercyOne. Students attending Mercy College may qualify for as they transition from classroom to career. JumpStart is designed to reduce financial stress, provide early job security, and build confidence as students enter their first professional role. Participants receive monthly financial support during their final semester, along with reimbursement for board and licensure fees. After licensure, graduates begin their careers with MercyOne, with retention requirements varying by position.
